She has used this training in her work with trauma victims and veterans who are trying to overcome the effects of PTSD. She has experience with severely mentally ill consumers in a clubhouse model facility, counseling adolescents in a behavioral health setting, and managing a Transitional Living Facility while counseling women and children from homes where there was domestic violence. She is a member of the Oklahoma Marriage Initiative and as such helps conduct workshops on PREP, which is a program to help couples develop healthy relationship skills to strengthen their marriages.

Elaine began working with Strength of Mind in 2008 and she offers individual, couple or family therapy. A people person through and through, she loves working with a variety of patients and striving to help them realize their full potential. Elaine’s work in the mental health field has given her a deep respect for the strength and resiliency of the human spirit. It has inspired her in her own life to overcome her own personal struggles and has strengthened her faith in God

When she is not working, Elaine is spending time with her family and particularly loves playing with her grandchildren. She engages in a range of activities including water sports, golfing, fishing, reading and writing.
